Having dinner in scenic Tennessee over the holidays I was reminded of a wedding I attended in Chattanooga a number of years ago. At the reception, the mother of the bride recounted the relationship story to me and said, “We were worried at first. After all, we’re from Lookout Mountain and (leaning in and lowering voice to a whisper) his family’s from Signal.” I chuckled and said, “You realize my dear…you’re talking about two hills in East Tennessee”. Views are relative, and differences are often what you make of them.
